Empowering Creative and Divergent Thinking so that STEM and Common Core Don't Kill Your Classroom
Has STEM and Common Core in general taken over your classroom? Have you felt lost in the sea of standards? As educators commit to lead students into a new realm of learning, how do students become engaged and motivated? What happens to the language learners and low performers? If you are feeling defeated or already beaten, then this is the workshop for you. This hands-on interactive K-12 workshop will focus on the different opportunities teachers can provide for students to become engaged in their own learning and stay motivated with your support. Your creativity will enrich the content and the CCSC based projects promote differentiation in your teaching. Your high performers have just as much opportunity for advanced learning as your low performers and language learners have for access to the core curriculum. Depth of knowledge is in the forefront of your teaching and the different modalities of learning will be met. You will have regained the power to motivate each and every student. Let your creativity flow and enjoy teaching again!
